Welcome to Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club
Alderbrook Golf is an active community year around. Here is a sampling of some of the fun we had in February 2018.
The deer of Alderbrook.
Our six Not So Newlywed couples had a chance to see how well they knew each other at Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club first live edition of the eponymous game show on January 22. The event was an instant hit with the “studio” audience. Our own Kayla Arevalo
devised the questions and emceed the show, with assistance from her husband Nico. The results were hilarious. Many thanks to the contestants: Curt and Linda Creswell; Karl and Melanie
Denison; Dan and Lisa Fluke; Rich and Colleen McEachin; Rick and Edie Reclusado; and Randy and Penny Shelton. The Creswells won round one, and the Flukes won the second round.
Video of the Seattle Boat Show’s Chowder Chomp Charity Cookoff. AGYC was one of five acclaimed chowder purveyors vying for the title of “Best Boat Show Chowder.” Hundreds of bivalve-loving boaters polished off forty gallons of our thick and creamy clam chowder, ladled out by Chefs Leon and Damian on January 27-28. Salmon for Soldiers received a $2,500 donation from the NW Yacht Brokers Association, sponsors of the competition. Pike Place Chowder won the event, but our entry was very competitive.
